Last weekend was the 3rd annual Steel City Big Pour here in Pittsburgh. The Big Pour, held at Construction Junction, has quickly become one of the best beer festivals in the region thanks to the more than 30 different breweries, 20 local food vendors and the amazing staff of people who put the whole thing together. With both afternoons sessions selling out in record time, the atmosphere was fun and festive all day. In addition to the great beer and food there was live music, on-site art demos featuring welding and chainsaws, custom painted kegorator raffles and more. If you live in the Pittsburgh area I highly recommend keeping an eye out for this festival next year.
Thanks to the networking prowess of the Beer Czar Mark S., the Beer Camp crew was able to attend as volunteers for Oskar Blues Brewery. We spent the day passing out samples of Dale’s Pale Ale, Mommas Little Yellow Pils, and the infamous Old Chub. We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen and look forward to next year. So instead of the usual beer photos and information, check out some of my photos from the event to see what you’ve missed.
